In the context, the director of the operational department of civil aviation Mr. Mohammed Al Thuwani mentioned in an interview with (KUNA) on Wednesday on the occasion of International Aviation Day that the operations departments are the nerve of the airport because it receives all the information and produce it for the rest of the sectors working at the airport. He added that the civil aviation will focus during the next phrase of its plan and projects to increase and enhance the capacity of the airport, stressing that operating Kuwait airport is one of the strongest operating in the world, despite the limited space. Consequently, on the most prominent achievements of the administration during the current year. Al Thuuwani added that 2017 is a turning point for Kuwait International Airport where it was established and completed several projects including laying the foundation stone for the T2 building and the third package of development projects of the air transport system in Kuwait. Finally, Al Thuwani said that the civil aviation started a new system to put less pressure on the airport such as Al Kuwaitya, Al Jazerrah, and Nas to provide buildings outside that allows the passengers luggage without the need to go to the airport.
