Deputy General Director for Aviation Safety and Air Transport Emad Al-Jalawi: 6% increase in passenger traffic at Kuwait Airport

Kuwait's General Administration of Civil Aviation announced on Thursday that passenger traffic at Kuwait International Airport increased by 6 percent in May, with a total of 110,9142 passengers compared to 1049,792 passengers in the same period of 2017. Deputy General Director of Aviation Safety and Air Transport and Safety Systems Coordination Center Emad Al-Jalawi told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that passenger traffic reached 550141 passengers in May compared to 524637 passengers in the same period of 2017. He pointed out that the total number of flights operated from and to Kuwait International Airport during last May reached 9520 flights compared to 9050 flights in the same period of 2017, indicating that the number of commercial flights coming and departing reached in May, about 9160 trips compared to 8564 trips in May 2017. He pointed out that the traffic in Kuwait International Airport amounted in May, about 22.96 million kilograms compared to the same period.
