General Manager ENG.Yousef Al-Fawzan mentioned in a press statment:130 flights within two days to transport the Omani and Emirati masses to attend the final match of the23rd Gulf cup

The General Administration of Civil Aviation has announced that 130 trips with 50 additional trips, along with 80 scheduled flights to the United Arab Emirates and Oman were operated during the past two days which carried 27,607 passengers from both countries to attend the final match of the 23rd Gulf Championship held in the State of Kuwait. Meanwhile, the Director General of Civil Aviation, Eng.Yousef Al Fawzan, announced to KUNA that the initiative was undertaken according to the directives of the political leadership to facilitate and support brothers and well-wishers wanting to attend the final match by assisting in the movement of passengers and in cooperation with the General Administration of Customs, Ministry of Interior, Kuwait Airways, and NAS Aviation services. Moreover, Eng. Al Fawzan thanked the entire Civil Aviation team headed by the President of Civil Aviation Administration, Sheikh Salman Al Homoud Al Sabah, for facilitating the travel of guests to Kuwait during the championship which was held from 22nd December ‘17 and concluded on Friday, 5th January ‘18 with the final match between the teams of Oman and United Arab Emirates, with Oman winning the Gulf Cup finals on penalties
