Minister of State for Housing Affairs and Minister of State for Services Dr. Jinan Bushehri Inspects Supporting Building

The Minister of State for Housing Affairs and Minister of State for Services, Dr. Jinan Bushehri affirmed that the concerned companies will continue to implement projects of developing Kuwait International Airport. In fact, Dr. Bushehri mentioned in a press statement to KUNA on the sidelines of an inspection tour of the T4 Support building that the building will commence operations by the end of the second quarter of this year and will be an important competitor in the region. Additionally, Dr. Jinan stated that Kuwait International Airport will witness a qualitative leap in air transportation after the completion of the T4 building that is about 54.850 square meters and includes 14 gates and 9 bridges to handle approximately 4.5 million passengers per year. This will be in addition to the T2 building wherein the Kuwait International Airport will represent a significant landmark to the country, as well as an important hub for passengers and travel activity. Moreover Dr. Jinan also mentioned that services in the next phase will focus on operating and functioning of the structure as there is no point to construct a building without professional expertise and clear operating mechanisms. The approach will also assist to review, operate, and supervise the supporting airport in an effective manner. Dr. Bushehri pointed that all procedures were functioning as per schedule. During the tour, the Minister was accompanied by the President of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Sheikh Salman Al Homoud Al Sabah, various Directors of Civil Aviation, and the Ambassador of Turkey in Kuwait, Ayse Koytak.
